On May 16, 2026, marking the International Day of Light, FEELTEK proudly launched its “Chasing Light • Igniting Futures“ laser science outreach initiative.
Targeting local teens ages 9–16, the program focuses on making laser science and technology accessible to young people, with the goal of planting the seed of a “laser dream” in their hearts through hands-on, personal participation.
At the program’s kickoff event, 20 students from nearby local communities visited FEELTEK’s facility, where they joined interactive laser science lectures, a guided exhibition hall tour, and a hands-on laser engraving workshop. Working side-by-side with FEELTEK engineers, each teen customized their very own hand-engraved nameplate bookmark. From initial curiosity to hands-on creation, seeds of “chasing light” have quietly taken root in their hearts.
Moving forward, FEELTEK will bring this program to more local communities and schools in a variety of formats, giving even more young people the opportunity to engage with and learn about laser technology.
